The Colorado Energy Office launched the first phase of its Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Program on October 30, 2024, National Weatherization Day.
The first phase of Colorado’s HEAR program will expand the benefits already provided by the state’s Weatherization Assistance Program. Homeowners and renters earning 60 percent or less of the State Median Income or 80 percent or less of their county’s Area Median Income (AMI) will have expanded access to electrification measures through the HEAR rebates. In 2025, the Colorado Energy Office will expand the HEAR program with direct-to-consumer rebates – up to a $14,000 per dwelling maximum – available to households below 150 percent AMI.
